Good Morning, it’s Monday, 6 November 2017 and this is the Morning edition of The Nightshift.
Again: A gunman opened fired inside a small Texas church yesterday, killing 26 people and wounding 20. The gunman, Devin Kelly, had served in the Air Force where he was given a bad conduct discharge after being court martialed. The weapon used was an AR-15 assault rifle. Kelly was found dead after a short, high speed chase.
An American woman, Shalane Flanagan, won the women’s division of the New York City Marathon, which was conducted yesterday. Ms. Flanagan, who is 36, is the first American woman to win the NYC marathon since 1977. Congratulations on a historic win.
